We are seeking experienced, professional, highly driven and hardworking Instrument Specialist to join our growing team.
Working primarily in our floor sales team, you will be responsible for contributing to ongoing growth in the woodwind & brass category through providing outstanding levels of customer service in relation to the sales of instruments and accessories. You will also play a key role in supporting basic cleaning and maintenance of woodwind and brass instruments as well as supporting our Education team with woodwind & brass enquiries and sales, and special projects as required.
High levels of initiative, drive and creativity, and the desire to go above and beyond to ensure that our customers are impressed with every interaction are essential.
Strong product knowledge and hands on experience with a range of woodwind & brass instruments and experience in performing cleaning and maintenance of instruments is essential. The role will also include supporting customers with other equipment purchases where required, so knowledge of other musical product categories including guitar / bass guitars (including amplifiers and effects) and drums / percussion is also highly advantageous.
A strong work ethic, enthusiasm about ensuring the store environment is well maintained at all times, excellent team work skills and a desire to continually improve the experience we provide to customers is also very important, as is the desire to be challenged and to seek out opportunities for personal growth and development within the business.
The role requires several years industry experience in music retail / wholesale or music-related industry, or several years work experience in an unrelated professional field but with high levels of skill as a musician and strong knowledge of musical equipment.
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), high levels of attention to detail, the ability to multitask and the ability to work well in a team are essential traits.

This is a 4-5 day per week role with Saturday availability preferred (Saturday opening hours 9:30am - 4:00pm).
