It was intended as a \"feature playground\" testing configuration to choose an optimum panel configuration for a 10HP version (hence the B suffix), but reaction from beta users was so positive that we decided to launch with this configuration instead. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eFrequency response is from about 9Hz (set by the LM346 silicon) to over 20kHz (set by the safe operating limits of the LM346). When testing the unit on 12V supplies a distortion problem emerged, as well as an observation that varying attenuators or disconnection of jacks could cause signal bleed from the other channel. We went back to the MC1595 datasheet and found that this design was a pretty straight adoption of a reference design on the datasheet, which enabled us to recalculate a resistor value to work with 12V supplies.
