Drum Specialist

We are seeking experienced, professional, highly driven and hardworking Drum Specialist to join our growing team.


Working in our floor sales team, you will be responsible for supporting ongoing growth in the drum and percussion equipment category through providing outstanding levels of customer service in relation to drum and percussion sales, maintaining our shop drum and percussion section and providing input into drum and percussion including stock ordering decisions and promotional activities. High levels of initiative, drive and creativity, and the desire to go above and beyond to ensure that our customers are impressed with every interaction are essential.

Strong product knowledge and hands on experience with a wide range of drum and percussion equipment (both traditional and electronic) and a passion for learning more and staying on top of the latest products and industry developments is also essential. You will require a strong working knowledge of the following product areas:

  • Drum kits – both traditional and electronic
  • Cymbals
  • Percussion instruments
  • Hardware
  • Triggers, pads and other electronic drum accessories
  • Accessories including sticks, heads and other drum accessories

The role will also include supporting customers with other equipment purchases where required, so knowledge of PA equipment is also highly advantageous, and knowledge of other musical product categories including guitar / bass guitars (including amplifiers and effects), brass & woodwind, keyboards and recording equipment is also advantageous.

A strong work ethic and enthusiasm about ensuring the store environment is well maintained at all times, and a desire to continually improve the experience we provide to customers is also very important, as is the desire to be challenged and to seek out opportunities for personal growth and career development within the business.

The role requires several years industry experience in music retail / wholesale or music-related industry, or several years work experience in an unrelated professional field but with high levels of skill as a musician and strong knowledge of musical / audio equipment.

Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), high levels of attention to detail, the ability to multitask and the ability to work well in a team are essential traits.

This is a 5 day per week role. Saturday availability would be advantageous (Saturday opening hours 9:30am - 4:00pm).
