The Fender Limited Edition 1953 Telecaster features a two-piece select ash body, a one-piece AA flame quartersawn maple neck with a '54 Style "U" profile, and a 7.25”-9.5” vintage compound-radius fingerboard with 21 narrow tall frets for perfect feel and playability. The hand-wound "OBG" Original Blackguard Tele (Bridge), and Twisted Tele (Neck) pickups are connected to Fat '50s Tele wiring. Other features include a black phenolic pickguard, Vintage-Style Nocaster Bridge with Compensated Brass Barrel Saddles, vintage-style tuning machines, bone nut, and disk string tree. Also includes deluxe hardshell case, strap and certificate of authenticity.
The Fender Custom Shop Closet Classic Finish is a slightly reliced finish with no real playing wear, but more subtle indications of the ages, such as a finish that has lost its sheen, mild discoloration of plastic parts, metal hardware showing slight oxidation, and minor surface scratches on the body and headstock.
