The Yamaha YCL211-II Bass Clarinet features a two-piece body allowing for a compact case design, also making it a very "school-bus" friendly instrument.
Matte finished ABS resin body gives the clarinet a much better appearance and is much lighter and durable as well as giving it a warmer sound and an excellent response.
The neck angle on the Yamaha YCL211-II is now the same as that of the professional models, resulting in a much more comfortable and natural playing position.
The leather pads are longer lasting and provide a better feel with increased projection than standard clarinet pads.
This tone hole was scientifically designed and placed for extremely accurate intonation. The rounded key prevents key damage and eliminates the need to hold the keys when putting the instrument together.
The rubber rings surrounding the cork help to prevent air leaks, ease assembly and prevent keys from binding.
The durable lightweight ABS case is smaller and easier for students to carry, and is also stackable and will take up much less space in the band room.
