The Allen & Heath SQ5+ is the most compact model in the new SQ+ range, designed for users who want serious professional mixing power in a compact, more portable format. It takes everything that made the original SQ5 so popular — fast workflow, excellent sound quality, flexible routing and a practical layout — and adds a larger 9-inch touchscreen, refined interface, expanded processing capability, RackUltra FX* and next-generation DEEP Add-On capability.

Built around Allen & Heath’s acclaimed 48-input, 96kHz XCVI core, the SQ5+ delivers low-latency digital mixing with the clarity, speed and flexibility required for modern live sound. It is equally at home in a compact church system, school auditorium, live venue, rehearsal room, portable PA rig, livestream setup or production environment where space matters but capability cannot be compromised.

The SQ5+ is particularly appealing because it gives you access to the same core SQ+ processing platform as the larger models, but in the smallest frame size. With 16 local XLR inputs, 12 XLR outputs and extensive expansion options via SLink and optional I/O cards, it can start as a compact standalone mixer and grow into a much larger system when required.

We have always loved the SQ5 because it offers a rare balance of professional capability and real-world usability. The SQ5+ keeps that same practical size and familiar workflow, but the larger screen, sharper look and added processing capability make it feel faster, clearer and more capable. For smaller venues, churches, schools and portable systems, it is an excellent way to access the upgraded SQ+ platform without moving to a larger console.
