Full Description
The Yamaha FGX820C is a versatile acoustic-electric guitar combining a solid spruce top, mahogany back and sides, a full-size cutaway body and Yamaha SYSTEM66 electronics.
Its larger dreadnought-style body delivers plenty of volume, projection and low-end response, making it an excellent choice for players who love a strong, full-bodied acoustic sound. The cutaway also provides easier access to the upper frets for lead playing and higher chord voicings.
A solid spruce top provides clarity, projection and dynamic response, while the mahogany back and sides add warmth and a focused midrange. Yamaha's scalloped bracing allows the top to resonate freely, helping produce a balanced acoustic voice with plenty of punch and presence.
For amplified performance, the Yamaha FGX820C features Yamaha's SYSTEM66 electronics with an under-saddle piezo pickup. The onboard preamp provides volume, 3-band EQ, adjustable mid frequency and a built-in tuner, giving you practical control when connecting to an acoustic amplifier, PA system or mixing console.
Comfortable, dependable and easy to amplify, the FGX820C is an excellent all-round acoustic-electric for home playing, rehearsals, recording, church, open-mic nights and live performance.
