The Yamaha FSX820C (Brown Sunburst) is a compact acoustic-electric that combines the warm, balanced sound of Yamaha's popular FS820 with a comfortable cutaway body and built-in electronics for live performance.
Its smaller concert-style body is comfortable to play seated or standing and has a slightly tighter, more focused response than a full-size dreadnought, making it particularly well suited to fingerstyle playing, lighter strumming and players who simply prefer a more compact acoustic.
A solid spruce top provides clarity and dynamic response, while mahogany back and sides add warmth and body to the sound. Yamaha's scalloped bracing helps the top resonate freely, giving the FSX820C an impressively strong and balanced acoustic voice for its size. The cutaway also gives easier access to the upper frets.
For amplified playing, the FSX820C features Yamaha's SYSTEM66 electronics with an under-saddle piezo pickup. The onboard preamp provides volume, 3-band EQ, adjustable mid frequency and a built-in tuner, giving you plenty of control when plugging into an acoustic amp, PA system or mixing console.
