The Desert Storylines range of Ukuleles was created to celebrate Aboriginal culture and artists. The range features three artists from the Northern Territory; Chantelle Mulladad, Evelyn Young, and Margaret Bloomfield, with Sunburnt Country being painted by Chantelle Mulladad. A portion of each sale goes directly back to the artist to help support their work and continue telling their stories.
"This painting is about the country where I live. We go out into the desert to hunt, and to collect bush foods or firewood. Before night comes, we would find a place to set up camp. As the sun sets, the old people would tell us stories about this country by the fire light."
