Modal Electronics began in 2000, established by synth enthusiast and current CEO Philip Taysom. Modal Electronics set about building their dream polyphonic synth and in 2014 released MODAL 002, the first analogue/digital hybrid polysynth to have been designed, developed, and manufactured in the UK for over four decades. Modal Electronics' synthesizers are known for their versatility and powerful sound, and are used in a variety of musical genres.

Since then, the Cobalt and Argon synthesizers released and have become known to be a great synth both for beginners or a professional musician.
