The Atlantis provides a dynamic and versatile wealth of sound that makes picking the right microphone for even the most troublesome sources as easy as flipping a switch.
The Atlantis' precision-crafted 38mm capsule is one of the largest in the world -- a one of a kind super-transducer designed in Silicon Valley and tuned by hand to capture the spirit, soul, and wonder of a performance.
The Atlantis offers 3 different switchable polar patterns: Cardioid, Omnidirectional, Figure-8. Each selection determines what the Atlantis hears.
Cardioid captures sound from the front of the microphone only. This is the most commonly used polar pattern for recording vocals with minimal room reflections.
Omnidirectional captures sound equally from all sides of the microphone for authentic, "in-the-room" instrument and vocal recordings.
Figure-8 captures sound equally from the front and back of the microphone for a more open, natural recording.
The Atlantis signal path is populated with high-resolution, low-distortion polypropylene capacitors, a US-made low-noise FET, and a custom-wound output transformer that puts the finishing touches on every sound that passes through its copper windings.
