Steinberg is a renowned German music software and hardware company based in Hamburg, specializing in tools for music production, composing, recording, and editing. Founded in 1984, the company is a pioneer in digital audio technology, creating industry standards such as VST (Virtual Studio Technology) and ASIO (Audio Stream Input/Output). Following the Yamaha acquisition in 2005, Steinberg expanded into hardware, including the UR series audio interfaces and IXO series audio interfaces.

Steinberg are mostly known for their core software offerings. Cubase, one of the world's leading DAWs (Digital Audio Workstations) used by star producers for composing, recording, and mixing.
