Telefunken Elecktroakustik

Telefunken Elektroakustik is a premier manufacturer of high-end microphones, specializing in hand-assembled reproductions of vintage tube microphones and original design condenser and dynamic microphones. Founded by Toni Fishman in 2001, the company holds the rights to the historic Telefunken diamond logo in North America and aims to uphold the standard of quality set by the original German TELEFUNKEN GmbH (founded in 1903). Founded in 1903 in Berlin, the original TELEFUNKEN was a pioneer in wireless telecommunications and later audio, producing legendary microphones in the 1940s-50s, such as the U47 and ELA M 251. Toni Fishman acquired the rights to the name and logo after attempting to repair a vintage ELA M 251, leading to the incorporation of Telefunken USA (now Telefunken Elektroakustik) in 2001. The company began by reverse-engineering parts for vintage microphones before creating full, historically accurate replicas of classics like the 251 and U47.

Telefunken's most popular microphones remain the hand-built reproductions of vintage tube microphones, including the ELA M 251E, U47, and C12.
