The Allen & Heath SQ6+ sits in the middle of the new SQ+ range, designed for users who want serious professional mixing power, more hands-on control and a generous local I/O count without moving to the largest console format. It takes everything that made the original SQ6 so popular — fast workflow, excellent sound quality, flexible routing and a practical layout — and adds a larger 9-inch touchscreen, refined interface, expanded processing capability, RackUltra FX* and next-generation DEEP Add-On capability.

Built around Allen & Heath’s acclaimed 48-input, 96kHz XCVI core, the SQ6+ delivers low-latency digital mixing with the clarity, speed and flexibility required for modern live sound. It is an excellent choice for churches, schools, live venues, theatres, AV installations, production companies, livestream setups and any application where a compact mixer is not quite enough, but a full-size surface is more than you need.

*Note: Rack Ultra FX engines are built-in, however the Ultra effects themselves are available as additional Add-Ons which must be purchased via the Allen & Heath shop online.

The SQ6+ is particularly appealing because it gives you more physical control and more local I/O than the SQ5+, while still keeping the same core SQ+ processing platform as the larger SQ7+. With 24 local XLR inputs, 14 XLR outputs, 25 motorised faders, 16 SoftKeys and 4 SoftRotaries, it gives engineers and operators a comfortable amount of control for managing channels, mixes, effects, scenes and system functions.

We have always loved the SQ6 because it offers a brilliant balance between professional capability, workflow and size. The Allen & Heath SQ6+ keeps that same familiar feel, but the larger screen, sharper look and added processing capability make it feel faster, clearer and more capable. For churches, schools, venues, production companies and AV systems that need more hands-on control than the SQ5+ but do not require the largest surface, the SQ6+ is a very strong option.
