The Pump is a single-channel, 500 series rack mount Compressor that’s loaded with the kinds of features and performance you’ve come to expect from ELI. This fully analog design has serious heritage and shares family DNA with notable ELI processors that include the renown Distressor, Arousor, and Mike-E products. The Pump is destined to be a “go-to” processor for the creative audio pro with a tool assortment built upon no compromise performance, quality, and value.
The Pump is simple, concise, and smart looking, with all the right controls and indicators in all the right places. This Compressor stands tall in the ELI family. Starting at the top, there’s an Input trim with clip indicator; 8 selectable compression ratios from 2:1 to 20:1 and everything in between; independent digitally stepped controls for precise recall of Attack and Release selections — including a soft Opto-Coupler style Release. Use the 70Hz High Pass Filter to minimize LF buildup; engage the soft clip function and relish the subtle and harmonious treatment of saturated signals. The unit includes comprehensive Gain Reduction metering and Attack Modification (AtMod) functions to slow the initial onset of the attack envelope and preserve more transient content for greater overall impact — with a Bypass selection to go dry. Brilliant! The final stage, Make Up Gain, brings track level up to balance and blend with the mix perfectly. We’re proud to say the Pump has overachiever traits. Afterall, just look at the family!
